Portfolio of Works

I have always loved painting animals.  At one point in time I wanted to be a wildlife artist but was not able to go out in the wild to sketch and photograph them.

I find it very satisfying to do portraits of peoples pets.  Pets are such sweet companions and we love them so much.  If you have a pet that is part of your family and you would like to have a painting to remember them by please send me an email and a photo of your pet for me to work from and then we can discuss the size and price.

I have always grown flowers in my yard and enjoy going to gardens to enjoy the flowers there.  I visit Loose Park to view their rose garden, Powell Gardens and the Overland Park Arboretum.  Sometimes I just go buy flowers to cheer me up and then paint them.

I have always enjoyed drawing and painting people. I have done many commissioned portrait through the years and it has continued to be one of  my great loves.

I have always enjoyed being out of doors and painting out side is a real treat.  I am not as hardy as some Plein Aire painters and I seldom venture out in extremely cold weather.  But I love nature and painting my surroundings.  I participate in several Plein Aire painting events each year.
